Welcome to NERC NAHRO

The New England Regional Council of the National Association of the Housing and Redevelopment Officials, also known as NERC/NAHRO, is a professional membership organization comprised of over 250 housing and community development agencies throughout the six New England states - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) is the leading housing and community development advocate for the provision of adequate and affordable housing and strong, viable communities for all Americans—particularly those with low- and moderate-incomes.

NERC/NAHRO's VISION is to be the premier, leading provider of services throughout New England that will inspire and empower housing and community development professionals to provide quality affordable housing and to build viable, sustainable, inclusive communities. 

NERC/NAHRO's MISSION is to build the capacity of its member professionals and business partners to promote and accomplish housing, public housing and viable communities for all New England residents.  NERC provides housing and community development professionals with the leadership and management skills and qualifications to perform at the highest levels by providing for professional development, advocacy, networking, accountability, and ethics compliance in our industry.

2017-06-22 - NERC Requests HUD Guidance on AFFH

On June 5, NERC sent a letter, with more than 35 member agencies signed-on, to HUD asking for clarity on its plans to move forward with the AFFH rule and its associated tools. Click here for copy of the letter.
